Sample Requirements

How pure does my sample need to be?

Higher purity leads to better grids and cleaner data, but perfect homogeneity is not required. We will help you evaluate your sample quality and decide whether additional purification steps are needed.

 

Can you help with sample preparation?

Sample preparation must be done in your own lab. When you have a sample you would like to image, you can bring it to the facility and we can assist with grid preparation, grid clipping, grid screening, data collection, and data processing.

 

Do you provide consumables?

We stock common grid types and supplies. You can find a list of our stock here.

If you need something more specialized, we can advise you on compatibility with our instrumentation. Users must clear use of any non-facility supplied grids, rings, and clips prior to use.
